Ping Golf: In 1959 Karsten Solheim founded PING in his garage. He was inspired to create a putter which would make a ‘pinging’ sound which could help to solve his own putting woes. He and PING are credited with many innovations in golf including perimeter weighting, custom fitting and insisting on strict engineering and manufacturing processes. Solheim remains the only person inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame as a golf club manufacturer. After 50 years PING remains a family owned company continuing to release innovative products while remaining committed to service and quality.
