S59 Irons
The Ping S59 blade will have two, small cavities across its back to add a touch of forgiveness. It will also feature a slight, progressive offset. In spite of these concessions to playability, the Ping S59 will be very bladelike in its appearance and in its playing characteristics. The topline will be quite thin and the cambered sole will be quite narrow. Ping designers have engineered the S59 to produce the strong, penetrating flight characteristics that better players prefer. The overall look of the S59 will be similar to that of the Ping CB wedges.

| I shoot in the low & mid 80's well sometimes in the 90's just like many others, and I have been playing now for 2 years. I was playing King Cobra SS I irons, they are great irons. I went to golfsmith to look at purchasing a new set of irons, I hit every club they had there, the only club that I felt like a champ when hitting, was the S59 Tour Irons, they are so nice, when you hit the ball, the feel and the sound just tell you that WOW..I just hit a great shot, to make a long story short, I purchased these clubs, people say what am I doing going to blades so early in my years of golf, I just say, they just stuck out above the rest, and felt the best, good job Ping. |

| Had 2002 big bertha irons and recently swapped for the s59's.
i did a 15 ball test with different coloured balls using my big bertha 6 iron compared with ping g2 and s59 six irons. The g2 outperformed the big bertha by an average of 8 to 12 yards. The s59 was another 3 to 4 yards longer than the g2. The s59's look terrific and the feel an dtrajectory is far superior to the others. Well worth the money!!! |

| I played to 3 handicap in the eighties and early nineties, but the handicap was slipping up and up - to 9. I bought a set of stiff-shafted Ping s59s in February 2004 and my game steadied and improved dramatically; from 2-iron to wedge they play amazingly consistently. My accuracy increased from 70% to 80-85% and I'm back to 6 handicap with plans to go lower. I recommend them unreservedly. |

I have been using the s59 irons for about a month. I have found that I have better accuracy, and it is a more workable club for me. I have found that I have lost distance from my old irons (Wilson fat shafts). But, I would rather have accuracy and playabilty over distance. My driving distance is 260yds. and I'am a 8 handicap. |

| I believe these irons are best suited for scr-10 handicaps. They have the marvellous look and feel of blades, but have the forgiveness of a cavirty back. |
